John is a practising Chartered Town Planner and Certified Practising Valuer and specialises in compulsory acquisition compensation advice, assessment and expert evidence.
Prof. Sheehan, a Life Fellow member of the Australian Property Institute (NSW division), has over 30 years' experience and expertise in property compensation law, town and country planning and environmental law.
He has been a board member since the Company’s incorporation in 1987 and was appointed as Chairman in 1992, which he currently serves.
Rick is the Company's Managing Director & CEO, with more than 25 years' experience in property investment, acquisitions, developments, management, leasing and sales, project marketing, strategic planning and asset fund raising.
Rick is also qualified as a licensed real estate agent and auctioneer, as well as a certified commercial property manager. In 2013, he was admitted as an Associate Member of the Australian Property Institute. Rick holds a degree in Economics from the University of Sydney and is currently studying towards a Master of Property at the University of Newcastle.
Peter joined Desane in 2019 as a non-executive director. He has over 25 years experience in corporate management and is a founding Principal of BRI Ferrier.
Peter's professional experience covers financial services, property and construction, retail, logistics, manufacturing and mining. Peter holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting & Legal Studies) from Charles Sturt University, is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia & New Zealand and a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Jack joined Desane in 2001, and has over 25 years' experience in corporate accounting, finance, taxation and business management. Jack was appointed as Company Secretary in 2016 and as an Executive Director in 2024.
His role in the Company covers all aspects of financial control and capital management. This includes developing financial and tax strategies for the Group, monitoring and directing strategic business plans, investor relations, ASX compliance and corporate governance and overseeing the financial operations of all controlled entities.
Jack is also responsible for reporting financial results to the Board and the market, managing debt financing and equity raising, as well as assisting in the formulation of the Company's future direction and decision making as a member of the executive team. Jack is a member of the Institute of Public Accountants and a registered Tax Agent.
Kylie joined Desane in 2019 and her role covers performing critical financial year reports, budgets and transactions. Kylie was appointed as Joint Company Secretary in 2024 and is also responsible for investor relations, ASX compliance, corporate governance and reporting financial results to the Board and the market.
Kylie has over 15 years' experience in a variety of finance positions including retail, events, community health, financial and corporate accounting. Prior to joining the Desane team, Kylie spent a number of years in the UK at Time Inc and previously worked in a senior role for one of the Desane’s major tenants, Staging Connections. Kylie is a member of CPA Australia.
With 10 years' experience in the property industry, Kenji brings a focus on site acquisitions and planning, as well as sales and marketing to the Desane team.
Kenji is responsible for developing strategy and vision for the property team using his deep understanding of the market, in not only NSW but also in QLD and SA. As part of this process, he performs detailed risk assessment and project feasibility to ensure project success from day one.
His strong network of established contacts with leaders in all sectors of the property industry allows him to deliver strong returns to both internal and external stakeholders.
Sandra has been with Desane since its incorporation in 1987. Sandra performs a number of critical tasks within the Group, and provides support to the Group’s Managing Director and the Company Secretary/Chief Financial Officer, as well as other directors and senior management.
Sandra’s role includes varied administration tasks and office management, as well as preparing and lodging announcements to the ASX, liaising with the Company’s share registrar, general shareholder enquiries, client relationships, website updating and correspondence.
